Magic of Childhood: A Split-Second Story
23May 30, 2014 by Melanie L.
The magic of childhood does not unfold slowly accompanied by music and with sparkly, spirals of twinkling dust as Disney might have us imagine. No, a child’s wonder, exists in untamed split-second moments in time.
The unlucky among us blink just a smidge too long, or at just the wrong pace and miss the precious moment altogether.
Many lucky parents catch a glimpse of the magic in real time with a naked eye.
But, the luckiest of all presses the button at just the right flash to seize, within the lens, the magic of a painted face at first sight.
Lucky? I think not. Had to have the camera on the ready for this adorable shot!

Such the truth! And as parents we often miss a lot with our adult distractions. Luckily we see a lot too. Great essay.
